| a little note about life at 20 |
This time of year can be extremely stressful for everyone in academic studies and schools, there is a pressure to know you want to do with your life. The pressure and stresses of life can sometimes break people down and this should never be the case. It is completely fine to be unsure about what you want to do for the rest of your life in your 20’s. When I turned 20 in August, it was like a switch that made me think ‘oh ok now you need to know what you are doing’ and I was wrong. The pressure of needing to plan and create a clear idea of what I want and will do with my younger years in life controlled my life for a while. I put this pressure on myself as I feel the need to take advantage of seeing and experiencing things during these years of ‘freedom’
My advice to anyone worried about the future or feeling stuck about what they want to do with their lives is to just focus on the positive aspects of your life and go for what you believe in. No one can stop you except you. This year I decided I want to do more and see more, I want to go out of my comfort zone and try new things. I am a true believer in ‘if it’s meant to be, it will be’
Everything that happens in your life should be seen as a learning experience. It is essential to be positive when things don’t always go your way. A good piece of advice is ‘after your 20’s your life doesn’t disappear, enjoy them’
