| Fashion Rewind | 2018

Hey all, long time no chat! My blog has been extremely neglected since October with juggling  college and work it has been a crazy busy and stressful couple of months. On friday after submitting my last assignment of the year (woo) I decided I needed to get back into doing the things I love: producing and writing for my blog and posting on my Instagram.

Now  I am back with a new post, this one is all about looking back at my favourite looks from 2018.

2018 has been one of the best year's of my life. So many good things have happened to me and I am forever grateful for everything that has come my way. My motto for 2018 was to just go for it and see what happens and it was truly the best piece of my own advice I ever followed lol.

I was scrolling through my phone looking at outfit photos from the past year and it's crazy the progress you have made when you look back on the year. My aim for 2019 is to keeping going and better myself, my content and everything in between for the coming year.

Warning: this post includes a lot of denim which shouldn't be a surprise haha.

I will never forget shooting photos for this look. It was one of the first time's I decided to start documenting my fashion looks online and after this I dived straight into the world of shooting outfit photos on the daily. This look was featured numerous times by Nine Crows which is always an amazing feeling. The overall look is my go-to on a regular basis for college.

Oh look another outfit that includes my trusty mom jeans. If I could give anyone denim advice it would be to invest in a good pair from Topshop. No joke I had this pair for 3+ years and they never failed me. Sadly they have found a new home with my younger cousin as Niamh is no longer able to fit into them :( Shocked but no surprised haha.

Loved this combo though: the colour way of the rugby style shirt is cool teamed with the bright blue mom jeans. I got this shirt from Shein. My favourite high street store ever and incredibly affordable for us college students that want to look funky on a budget.

Summer holiday blues :( A pretty scalded Niamh lol
This two piece was amazing for exploring and is still one of my favourite things in my wardrobe. I will definitely be wearing this next summer again. And if you are wondering this is another gem from Shein. Thank ya.

Omg I forgot how much I love these photos.

So 90's which is extremely my aesthetic, everyone always says that to me which is a fabulous compliment! Dungarees are so comfy to wear and so versatile. The orange jumper and the colour of this denim really works well together.

One of the best days of Summer. This outfit featured in a Stylebook featured on my IGTV if you want to have a look. Classic levi vintage jeans and a stolen yellow Vans t-shirt from my Boyfriend. How much more perfect can you get with this outfit. V me.

The flame socks were the talking point of this outfit, such a grunge skater vibe.

MY BIRTHDAY OUTFIT
I have this kind of tradition where I always wear a two-piece on my birthday and this year's did not disappoint. The outfit was so affordable and I am still obsessed with the pattern. I need another excuse to wear this outfit soon.

OOTN: The Beauty Blog Awards
One of my biggest and most proud moments of 2018 was getting the opportunity to attend this awards ceremony as a shortlist nominee for 'Best Newcomer Blog' even typing this is so surreal for me. This year was definitely the year of getting my blog up and out there. I can't deny I have loved every minute of it. I work hard on my blog and I am forever grateful for the support I receive from others about my content on my blog and Instagram . It truly is my passion to share my style with others and writing on this platform is my happy place, my comfort zone.

I have a blogpost on the blog awards if you want to check it out: I talk all about the gals I
 met, the style and more.

My outfit was classic. I am a real classic simplistic gal when it comes to occasion fashion and this event was no different.  Black jumpsuit: Missguided

Blogger Trip with North Face and JD Sports
To be honest when I received the email from JD Sports I automatically thought it was fake haha. Me  and my small platform getting the opportunity to fly to Manchester for a chance to attend a North Face event. How crazy! It was an amazing experience from start to end. The event itself was unreal and something I could of never imagined attending this time last year. It has made me more determined to reach for my goals and don't give up as anything is possible when you put everything into your passion. I want to do a blogpost on the event but due to college I never got around to it which is a shame, maybe in the new year I might write one- but don't hold me to it!

One of my most liked outfit on Instagram:
The definition of Me and my style.

Working with Dresses.ie
This jumper is a staple in my winter wardrobe. Yellow is such a cool colour to wear and is more associated with Summer but for me colour has been a statement in my 2018 wardrobe and I have been embracing the colour wheel even in these cold winter months.  Dresses.ie have an extensive collection of styles and staples for every season. If you are looking for somewhere different to shop I would recommend them completely and another benefit of shopping with them is also supporting a home grown brand. It was unbelievable working with such a credible and amazing Irish brand.

Some other standout looks:

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost. 2018 what a year, here is to another year of fun 2019 let's go!
